10 March 2018 - It's been busy in the brewery. First beer of the new year was a Cherry Ripe Porter. I always do my winter beer first brew after Xmas. This year was a brew I have wanted to do for a while. I have done Choc Cherry Porter before but this year I wanted to push the limit and get extra cherry, more chocolate and some coconut into the mix. It has turned out quite tasty and early tastings have been promising. This will be a great winter beer.

My first Session IPA has turned out very good, it ended up with a keg hop of Mosaic to finish off and sitting at 3.9% with a decent hop presence and fruit notes it drinks very easy.

I threw together a Craft-a-brew small batch beer kit, a replica of Stone Pale Ale, which has been a drama with the bottles not carbing up, I have popped the bottles and added extra priming sugar to try and fix the problem.

A big Golden Ale followed and with a substantial malt presence and intense hopping level it is both bold and delicious.

In among all this was an experimental brew done on a Grainfather, loaned to me by the local Country Brewer in preparation for a brew day. The brew I pumped out; my standard Aussie Pale, was split into two fermenters and pitched with US-05 and Mangrove Jacks M44 to do a comparison video; which will be happening in the coming weeks.
