21 July 2019  I have just kegged the Breakfast Ale and it is now the first keg into the new keg fridge. I have primed the keg with 50gm Light Dry Malt so that it carbs up while I get the taps and lines all back in, set up and running over the next week or two.

20 July 2019  The new keg fridge was picked up today. It will only fit 5 kegs so 1 less than the previous but it will also hold bottles, yeast bank and has a top freezer for hops. So I will drop from 2 fridges to 1 for beer service. I also will only get 9 litre kegs in for best use of the space so bye bye to the pin lock 19 litres...they were a pain anyway and I do go better with the smaller kegs, it allows for more timely rotation. So gold flow is not far away once again.

19 July 2019  Today's brew was 12 litres of Marzen, German Oktoberfest lager. A stuff up on a yeast order back in April meant I got a White Labs WLP820 instead of Copenhagen Lager, so this was the option. I soaked and smoked 2kg of Munich malt with 300ml of strong plunger coffee using a mix of beans from Echuca Roasters and Ettalong Coffee.  A little extra Munich and Caramunich 2 and some noble hops lead to a very tasty wort that sits on the bench in the brewery at around 16-18°, probably a little warmer than recommended, but I couldn't get to the ferment fridge as it was in use.
