May 5th: Well, it's been a crazy year. Bush fires, heat waves, drought, Coronavirus........ and that's just the outside world. 

Inside the world of Littlejohn, things have been a bit mixed up as well.

My daughter is having our first grandchild in about 5 weeks,,,, so exciting times for the wife and I, but as she lives 3 hours a way, we have not seen her face to face for almost 6 weeks, we chat almost every other day on the phone but it is not the same.

In amongst all this the wife has been having ongoing treatment for early stage breast cancer, which started last September, coincidentally diagnosed on the 5 year anniversary of the finish of her last cancer battle. So multiple tests and 2 surgeries later we are now mid way through her second visit to the radiation lounge. 

So we are holed up in Canberra, in isolation, as we have been for 5 weeks, and will be for another 4.

Luckily the good lads from Canberra Brewers, a local home brew club have supplied me with a care package that has helped pass some time and keep things feeling somewhat normal.
